SGVC-VHC 2010 Centennial Jamboree Frank Bonelli Regional Park, San Dimas 05/21/2010 - 05/23/2010 | Because we knew the traffic would be bad on Friday night, we stopped for dinner on the way to the jamboree (we ate at a local McDonalds). After dinner, We arrived at the jamboree and checked in and picked out a campsite (we found a good campsite by playground 5). On Saturday, following the flag ceremony, the boys worked on Merit Badges (all eight received the Pathfinding Merit Badge, and most of the boys got a least one more Merit Badge). Later that evening we attended the campfire show (there wasn't any campfire because of the fire restrictions). Because this was a special jamboree, we were allowed to stay over on Sunday and attend a special sacrament meeting at the jamboree (presided over by Elder Reynolds, an Area Seventy). |

VHC 2006 Camporee Veterans Park 10/20/2006 - 10/21/2006 | We arrived at Veterans Park at about 8pm Firday night and set-up our campsite by patrols (Dragon Force and Fire Serpents). During the day the two patrols competed in eight different events; the Fire Serpent patrol won second place in the Pioneering event and the Dragon Force patrol won third place in the Team Building event. |

VHC 2004 Camporee Firestone Scout Reservation 04/16/2004 - 04/17/2004 | This was the annual camporee for the Verdugo Hills Council. We arrived Friday night and set up camp. Saturday morning we participated in the camporee events. It rained most of the day on Saturday (finally clearing up in the afternoon). |
