“Camp Whitsett offers over twenty traditional merit badges, a COPE course, mountain biking, hiking, and white-water rafting all in an idyllic mountain setting. For older scouts looking challenge and adventure, our Sierra Expeditions programs provide the experience of a lifetime.”
Our troop will be attending Camp Whitsett the week of Monday, June 27, 2011 thru Saturday, July 2, 2011. Those attending will meet at the church by 6AM on Monday.

On Friday, February 18, 2011, the scouts will be going to Chula Vista Campground at Mt. Pinos for our annual YM/YW snow activity. The scouts will meet at the church at 5pm – we will be stopping along the way for dinner (so each scout will need money; about $10).
The scouts will be spending the night (so they need to be prepared for cold-weather camping), and the young women will meet us at the parking lot in the morning for, hopefully, sledding and other snow activities.

This year’s Valentine’s Day fundraiser consisted of a bottle of Marinelli’s Sparkling Cider, two champagne flutes, chocolate-caramel turtles, heart-shaped lollipops and a bear all in a valentine bucket.
On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, the troop provided pizza, chips, soda and cupcakes for everyone who participated with the assembling the buckets for pick-up and/or delivery.
The gift buckets are very popular and it appears that we will sell all one hundred.
The troop would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual Valentine’s Day fundraiser. We particularly want to thank Ed and Liz Wray for all the time they spent in organizing this fundraiser.
